Introduction.

Gautam Shantilal Adani Known as Adani was born on24 june 1962 in Ahmedabad, Gujrat situated in western part of India. His father is Shantilal Adani and mother is Shantaben a Gujariti Family. Adani has 7 siblings. Gautam Adani was married with Prirti, They have two sons Karan Adani and Jeet Adani.

Adani is founder and chairman of Adani Group an Ahmedabad-based multinational conglomerate involved in port development and operations in India. Adani was born in a Gujarati family in India on 24 June 1962. His father’s name is Shantilal Adani he was a small textile merchant and Mother’s Name is Shantaben. He has 7 siblings.

He was studied at Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidyalaya (School) in Ahmedabad Gujrat. He was enrolled in Gujrat University to pursue bachelor’s degree in commerce but he dropped out after the second year without completion.

Career

After dropping out of college as a teenager, he moved to Mumbai and worked in the diamond trade for Mahindra Brothers before returning to his home state.

His elder brother Mahasukhbhai Adani has a plastic business in Ahmedabad, in 1981 he invited Gautam to manage the operation when we was working in Mumbai. The company scaled out to be Adani’s gateway to global trading through PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) imports.

In the year of 1985 they started importing primary polymers for small-scale industries.

During 1988 Adani established Adani Exports now the export company known as Adani Enterprises.

In 1991 he got favorable support from politics for his company and he started expanding the bossiness into trading of metal, textiles, and agro products.

In 1995 Adani got the contract of the Mundra Port which was managerial outsourcing announced by Government of Gujarat in 1994.

In 1996 Adani was founded Adani Power that holds thermal power plant with capacity of 4620 MW PA, the largest private thermal power plant in India.

In 2020, Adani Group of Company, Adani Green won the world’s largest solar project 8000MW bid announced by the SECI (Solar Energy Corporation of India).

The Project Budget worth US$6 billion. Adani Solar also establish 2000MW of additional solar cell and pv module manufacturing unit.

In September 2020, Adani acquired 74% stake in Mumbai International Airport.

In May 2022 Adani occupy Ambuja Cements and its subsidiary ACC from Holcim Group for US$10.5 billon.

Philanthropy (Charitableness)

Mr Adani is the owner of the Adani Foundation founded in 1996 funded through Adani group and led by Mr. Adani’s wife Priti Adani.

This Foundation is operated in Gujarat and some other states of India. In 2020 the adani foundation contributed 100 crores INR US$13Million to PM Cares Fund to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. Also the contributions of US$630,000 (5 crore INR) was made to Gujarat CM relief Fund and US$130,000 (1 crore inr) to Maharastra CM relief Fund. The Adani Group diversified conglomerate and imported 4 ISO cryogenic liquid oxygen tanks of 80 metric tons form Dammam PortKSA to Mundra , Gujarat in India while Indai have shortage of Oxygen Supply.

Mr. Adani have aims to make India one of the most significant players in sustainable and green energy by investing in the renewable ecosystem spanning solar manufacturing, generation, and solar park businesses. He dreams of making India self-reliant in defense and security. For Mr Adani, nation-building means transforming India’s coastline by building a string of ports and logistics hubs. For him, nation-building also means strengthening the country’s energy security and mitigating the urban-rural divide by delivering electricity to several hundreds of millions living in the hinterlands of India. Nation-building, for Adani, also involves boosting food security by building a modern agriculture supply chain and empowering the farmers. Each of his industrial endeavors has created tens of thousands of jobs.
